The minds Behind the Microphone

It all started with a childhood goal to buy a bike, a lesson that taught me early on that if I wanted something, I had to work for it. That mindset has fueled me ever since, driving me to embrace challenges, take risks, and never stop learning. Growing up in Denmark and Iceland, I held a variety of jobs that gave me a unique perspective on life and work—from farming and training horses to working in restaurants and even a shrimp factory. Eventually, I ventured into sales, leadership, and franchising, where I discovered the transformative power of personal development. It wasn’t always easy; I still remember launching my first business, a restaurant, and facing the crushing reality of failure. But that failure became a turning point, leading me to new opportunities, new skills, and a new passion for helping others succeed. In 2005, I made the leap of a lifetime, trading my share in a European franchise business for the chance to move to the US and start fresh. With no money, no credit, and no guarantees, I launched RedKnight in 2006. What began as a small website company has grown into a thriving marketing business, now franchised across the US. Along the way, I’ve written books, hosted a podcast, and built a business I hope to pass on to my kids. Every step of this journey has reinforced my belief in the importance of staying curious and determined. My eclectic background gives me a unique edge in the marketing world, allowing me to connect with businesses across industries and help them achieve their goals. As I continue to grow RedKnight and learn from every experience, I look forward to sharing my story and lessons with others—because no matter where you start, with the right mindset, you can achieve great things.

As a legal professional, I strive to understand the law and how it ultimately affects my clients. When a new client comes to me, the first thing I make sure they understand is that their problems become my problems. I can not rest until I know the problem has been resolved, and my client’s troubles are behind them. To understand who I am and how I approach a legal issue, it is important to know where I began. I started my career as a computer programmer, as I have been writing software since I was 9 years old. I was an owner and partner of a technology company for many years, and I have held many titles in my career including Lead developer, CTO, and CIO. I made the transition to a legal career because I saw an emerging trend of legal uncertainty in the business and intellectual property sectors that is often found when technology meets the law. I thrive on helping my clients understand how technology will strengthen their business, while assuring that they keep an eye on any legal issues that may arise while doing so. I fight diligently against the extortionist tactics often used by copyright and trademark trolls, and I make sure my client’s own intellectual property efforts are protected from abuse. I believe in working together to come to an amicable resolution when a conflict arises, yet I will not hesitate to apply the full force of the law when necessary. My vast background in business and technology puts me in the uncommon position of being able to fight for my clients’ rights from both legal and personal experience standpoints.
